Fourth round
Davide Gozzini and TM dominates the GP of Spain
The GP of Spain has been the great day of David Gozzini and his TM SMX 660F. Fastest already from the time practices on Saturday, he won the Superpole on Sunday morning and practically unbeatable in the two races.
Optimal also the performance of another TM rider, Lorenzo Mariani, successful to finish the Spanish GP in second place.
In Race 1 Gozzini start in front of all followed from Mariani, Iddon, Delephine and Pignotti. While Davide is strongly on the head of the race and tries to lengthen, behind of him there is a big fight for the podium that anyway don’t give him problems for his great performance. He gains therefore race 1 in front of Iddon and Jorge while Mariani ends to the sixth place.
In Race 2 hole shot again for Davide Gozzini and behind of him Lorenzo Mariani. The brescian try immediately to escape leading all the race in head and going to close with fantastic Victory whom it throws again him in race for the world title. Mariani closes in second place that allow him to be second also in the GP classification, third Pignotti and only fifth the Belgian Delephine.
David said end of the race: “...... Today I’m very satisfied about my race. Everything was perfect and are successful to demonstrate my real potential. My team and my bike have been fantastic and this my Victory is dedicated to them. It’s a pity for those two zero that in this moment weigh a lot on classifies! We have earn some good points and allow us to approach the riders in front of me in the championship classification, but I do not want to make calculations and not to think to the title, I want living to the day working for every single GP with my team, that transmits great serenity to me, and to the end we will see .....”.
Difficult contest for Fabio Balducci which, after to have obtained the sixth better time in the time practices (best Italian rider), has been forced to the withdrawal for a decrease of power in race 1 and for problems to the front brake in race 2.
Fabio said end of the race: “… this year the misfortune not leave me !! We work very hard and we are not able to finalize with good results this kind of job. Now I want to be concentrated on the Italian championship that remains my main objective .....”.
Also Alex Serafini is successful to find a good feeling with the Spanish circuit closing the two races in 16th position.
